New Benwell Surgery

The practice is planning to develop the existing premises in Benwell. The aims are to:

modernise services in line with national and local targets.
facilitate social enterprise and meet the specific needs of the local community
provide appropriate accommodation to deliver the specified services.
create a sense of health and well-being, within the local community as a whole
support the recruitment and retention of staff through positive working environments.

The practice will be looking to consult with the Primary Care Trust after April 2012 to see how the existing premises can be upgraded.

Launch of new Practice Newsletter

The practice has launched a revamped practice newsletter which will include items of topical interest together with tips about keeping healthy.

The aim of the communication is to keep patients up to date with the services it provides and to give an insight into the day to day life of the practice by including a 'day in the life' feature which will focus on the practice team.

An electronic version of the newsletter is available to people who subsribe to receive it. The newsletter will be delivered by email on a regular basis. If you wish to sign up please complete the form on the home page.
